In the pantheon of the world of opera, there is a true star performer: Sir Bryn Terfel, Welsh king of bass-baritones. An exceptional Figaro, a high-flying Leporello, a demonic Scarpia, a gargantuan Falstaff, he reigns from La Scala to the Met, and from Salzburg to Covent Garden, with a phenomenal stage presence. He was also the star of the opening gala of the Royal Opera of Versailles in 2009! The Royal Opera Orchestra is now giving him full scope to display the splendour of his voice, under the inspired direction of Laurent Campellone: a monumental recital around the emblematic figure of Mozart!
