In the summer of 1907, Marcel Proust invited his friends to a private concert at the Ritz, after a society dinner. This was fully in the style of the Paris salons of the time, where chamber music ruled in the hearts of the characters of In Search of Lost Time. The programme of this concert is as precious as a fine dinner.
