Presentation
Based on the myth of Orfeo trying to save his wife Euridice from Inferno, Orfeo is a landmark in the history of music, marking the musical end of Renaissance and the beginning of baroque, placing, as in all arts of the time, “the individual at the heart of the musical world.” Leonardo García Alarcón and Cappella Mediterranea will magnificently interpret this beautiful love song, a poetic and theatrical fable on the power of music.
The Namur Chamber Choir is supported by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation (music and dance department), the National Lottery, the City and the Province of Namur. It is also supported by the Autonomous Port of Namur.
Supported by the Bureau Export for Cappella Mediterranea’s European Spring Tour.
Show in Italian with surtitles in French and English
